Red Lake man gets almost 20 years for child sex abuse

A Red Lake man has been sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison for the sexual abuse of a child.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 25-year-old Kory Paul Lussier was sentenced to more than 19 years (235 months) behind bars on Friday.

Prosecutors say Lussier had sexual contact with a minor several times between August 2014 and August 2020, when the victim was between 7 and 13 years old.

Once released, he’ll also have to serve five years of supervised release.
