Portion of road near Target Center to close during Final Four

A section of First Avenue near Target Center will close later this week through Monday for the NCAA Women’s Final Four.
The city of Minneapolis says First Avenue between Sixth and Seventh streets south will be closed Thursday through Monday.
Festivities in the area include Party on the Plaza, which is free and features fan-friendly interactive games from Friday through Sunday.
The NCAA also announced that Rachel Platten will perform Saturday at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
The final two teams will also have a red carpet arrival at Seventh Street and First Avenue on Sunday.
