Police: Victim thrown off car, shots fired in Brooklyn Park Sunday night

Police say one person was injured during an incident involving shots being fired after they were thrown off a vehicle in Brooklyn Park Sunday night.

According to Brooklyn Park police, the victim was holding onto a vehicle as it sped off, and was thrown off the moving vehicle when a parked car was hit.

Police say that as the suspect vehicle fled, an unknown suspect fired nine gunshots from the intersection of North Orchard Avenue and North 81st Avenue, adding the shots were aimed in the direction of the fleeing vehicle.

The unknown suspect then ran from the scene, and wasn’t found.

Officers didn’t find any homes damaged by the gunfire.

Police are still investigating the incident.
