Police: Man injured in Minneapolis motorcycle crash died at hospital

A 30-year-old man who was injured following a motorcycle crash in Minneapolis died from his injuries at an area hospital.

The Minneapolis Police Department said officers were called just after 4 p.m. last Tuesday to the area of Seventh Street North and Plymouth Avenue North on the report of a crash that involved a motorcycle and bicycle.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found the bicyclist, who suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. The police say the motorcyclist suffered "grave injuries."

Both were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center by ambulance.

According to police, investigators learned the bicyclist was north on Emmerson Avenue North in the bike lane. The motorcyclist was traveling north on Seventh Street North when the two collided.

A Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office report identified the victim as Allen Gene Lind, of St. Paul. His death was ruled an accident.
