Minneapolis police investigating shooting that left 2 injured
Two people were injured in a shooting early Friday morning in Minneapolis, according to police.
Officers from the 5th Precinct responded to a report of a shooting on the 1400 block of West Lake Street around 1:51 a.m.
They found a woman in her 20s with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police said. The injured woman said she heard gunshots after seeing a fight and then noticed she was injured. She was then brought to Hennepin Health (HCMC) by emergency medical services.
A man in his 20s also sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to police. He transported himself to HCMC where he was interviewed by MPD.
There have been no arrests.
MPD is investigating.
