Late-night Uptown shooting leaves 1 injured

Minneapolis police investigation underway

Multiple evidence markers could be seen on the ground at West Lake Street and Emerson Avenue South around midnight on Tuesday morning.

Minneapolis police say a man was shot late Monday night in the city’s Uptown neighborhood.

According to police, officers were called to the 1300 block of West Lake Street shortly before 10:30 p.m.

While no one was found injured at the scene, officers say an 18-year-old man showed up at Hennepin County Medical Center with an injury that isn’t considered to be life-threatening.

Meanwhile, police say they found multiple bullet casings on the ground outside of a business at the scene of the shooting. In addition to the business being damaged by bullets, a vehicle and an apartment complex were also hit.

As of this time, no one is in custody for the shooting, and the investigation continues.
