Police investigating shooting that injured 1 in St. Cloud

Authorities in St. Cloud are investigating a shooting that injured one person on Wednesday.

According to St. Cloud Police, officers were called to a report of gunshots near the intersection of 25th Avenue South and First Street South at 6:29 p.m. When they arrived, they didn’t find anyone but found a crime scene that indicated someone might have been injured. Police gathered information that led them to believe the involved parties left in two separate vehicles.

A short time later, officers were notified that a man had shown up at a hospital and was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Officers responded and learned the man had been shot at the scene officers had been to earlier.

Police said they don’t believe the shooting was random and there’s no current threat to the public.

An investigation is underway.
