Police investigating sexual assault in St. Cloud

Police in St. Cloud say they are investigating a sexual assault that occurred early Sunday morning.

According to the St. Cloud Police Department, officers were called just after 2 a.m. on the report of a sexual assault of a 21-year-old woman at a park in the 800 block of 13th Street South.

According to police, the victim said she was walking along the 700 block of West St. Germain Street when she was forced into a vehicle that contained four to five men.

Police say the victim was then taken to the playground area of a park where she was assaulted by one of the men. Investigators learned the victim was then taken to another location and was assaulted by another man in the vehicle while in transit.

The victim contacted police after she was released from the vehicle.
