The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a man with “potentially life-threatening gunshot wounds” according to officers. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
A news release from the department said that it happened just before 11:15 p.m. Wednesday near Chicago Avenue and East 33rd Street.
Investigators say preliminary information shows the victim was inside a home when the shots were fired into the residence from outside.
Police said homicide investigators responded to the scene “due to the nature of the incident” in addition to personnel from the Minneapolis Police Forensics Division.
