An early Friday morning crash in Mendota Heights in under investigation.

A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS photographer captured footage as police worked at the scene.

The crash happened on Marie Avenue under the I-35E bridge just before 4 a.m.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Ford Bronco was traveling on southbound I-35E and left the roadway. The vehicle then vaulted onto Marie Avenue and rolled, where it ended on the embankment.

When troopers and police got to the scene, they didn’t find anyone in the vehicle.

No word on why the vehicle left the road.
