Police investigating chase-related crash in Midtown

Police are investigating a chase-related crash that happened Thursday in Midtown.

Officers responded to a robbery and car theft and said the suspects drove off during a traffic stop. Officers followed and the car ultimately crashed near Lake Street and Bloomington Avenue.

Those inside the vehicle that crashed had injuries not considered to be life-threatening and were taken to the hospital.

The Minneapolis Police Department reports the individual or individuals responsible will be taken into custody once discharged from the hospital.

Police said others were hurt in the crash but didn’t suffer injuries serious enough to need medical attention.
