Pedestrian killed in Crow Wing county collision identified

Authorities have identified the man killed in a Crow Wing County pedestrian collision as 51-year-old Robert Joseph Hutchins.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to the intersection of County Road 3 and County Road 109 at about 6:41 p.m. Saturday on a report of a pedestrian-involved accident.

The sheriff's office said first responders found a Hutchins lying in the northbound lane of County Road 3. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Merrifield man struck by vehicle, killed

According to the sheriff's office, the vehicle was traveling north on County Road 3 when it struck the Hutchins, who appeared to be in the lane of traffic.

Hutchins was dressed in all black at the time of the crash, the sheriff's office said, and the driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and is cooperating with law enforcement.
