Overnight lane, ramp closures scheduled for eastbound I-94 this week
Drivers who frequently use Interstate 94 in the east metro area will need to be aware of nightly closures this week.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), there will be lane and ramp closures on a stretch of road between Woodbury and Lakeland through Sunday, Aug. 21.
The following four ramps will be closed from 6 p.m.-5 a.m. each night through the morning of Sunday, Aug. 21:
- Woodbury Drive to eastbound I-94
- Eastbound I-94 to Manning Avenue North
- Manning Avenue North to eastbound I-94
- Eastbound I-94 to Highway 95/St. Croix Trail North
In addition, from 8 p.m.-7 a.m. each night through Sunday, eastbound I-94 will be down to a single lane between Woodbury Drive and the St. Croix River. MnDOT says the lane closure is due to a pavement resurfacing project along the road’s shoulder.
The ramp and lane closures are part of an ongoing project on I-94 between Highway 120/Century Avenue and the St. Croix River. According to MnDOT, the project is expected to last through 2024.
