Man arrested after Eagan standoff

Eagan Police say that the suspect has been arrested as of 9:30 p.m. and will be booked into the Dakota County Jail.

Police are responding to a scene in the 1400 block of Diamond Dr. in Eagan after a report of a residential burglary.

This is an active incident and neighbors have been advised to shelter in place, according to a Eagan Police Department press release.

Officers were dispatched after a call at 12:04 p.m. Sunday. Reportedly, an adult male has barricaded himself inside, alone. It is believed that the male party violated a protection order.

A round of PA announcements were made, asking the adult male to exit the residence.

The situation is still ongoing at this hour.
