One man shot in Minneapolis after argument on Metro Transit bus

A man was shot after getting off a Metro Transit bus Wednesday afternoon in Minneapolis.

A Metro Transit police spokesperson tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS an argument on a northbound bus along Chicago Avenue led up to the shooting.

Police say a male boarded the northbound bus at around 3 p.m. and got into an argument with another male passenger.

Both males got off the bus at the East 33rd Street stop, at which point the male who boarded around 3 p.m. shot the other man and fled the scene, according to Metro Transit police.

The victim was shot in the leg and transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening wounds, according to a police spokesperson. No one else was injured in the shooting.

The suspect is not in custody, and Metro Transit police are searching for the shooter at this time.
