NWS says tornado touched down near North Mankato Saturday
Strong storms made their way across parts of southern Minnesota Saturday. On Sunday, the National Weather Service confirmed that that included a tornado near North Mankato.
The NWS said a survey team determined that damage west of North Mankato was caused by a tornado.
The NWS is still determining the tornado’s path and rating.
