Northeast Recreation Center in Minneapolis closed due to boiler issue
UPDATE: The Northeast Recreation Center was re-opened Monday afternoon, with the city stating the heating system had been repaired.
The recreation center will return to regular operating hours.
An issue with a boiler has caused a recreation center to be closed through at least the weekend in Minneapolis.
Minneapolis Parks told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Thursday that its Northeast Recreation Center would need to close to fix its boiler heating system.
The parks department did not specify what issue their system is dealing with.
The recreation center is expected to be closed until Sunday, but may last longer.
