Nearly 200 DWI arrests across Minnesota over holiday weekend
Nearly 200 people were arrested across Minnesota over the holiday weekend for drunken driving.
The Minnesota State Patrol said, from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday, 199 drivers were arrested for DWI.
State officials stepped up the number of patrols over the holidays to watch for impaired drivers.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) said, going into this holiday season, that 26 people had died in drunken driving-related crashes over the past five years’ holiday seasons.
