Multiple Twin Cities malls set to reopen Monday

Several malls around the Twin Cities announced they will reopen to shoppers Monday.

Galleria Edina, Ridgedale Center and Rosedale Center are all set to reopen as the current "stay at home" order expires on Monday and some restrictions for retail businesses are eased.

Galleria Edina

To follow guidelines set forth by Gov. Tim Walz, Galleria Edina will operate at 50% visitor capacity, add social distancing signage, provide hand sanitizers and remove communal seating areas. All customers and workers are asked to wear masks inside the center.

The center will also go through regular cleaning and sanitizing.

"As we re-open, the safety and well-being of our employees, retailers and customers are of utmost importance to us," Galleria Edina said in a statement.

Galleria Edina will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.

Rosedale Center

Rosedale Center in Roseville will also reopen its doors on Monday, although all restaurants and bars will remain closed until June 1. The mall said not all shops will be ready to reopen right away.

All common areas of Rosedale will be cleaned according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention standards, and retailers will be asked to follow suit, according to a statement.

“A safe environment for shoppers and retailers is our number one priority. We are closely monitoring guidance from local and national authorities and working with our clients to ensure that property safety protocols are being followed as shoppers and employees come back to Rosedale Center" Rosedale Center General Manager Lisa Crain said in a statement.

All patrons are asked to wear face masks upon entry, and anyone who feels sick should stay home.

Rosedale Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Ridgedale Center

Ridgedale Center is set to open on Monday with new protocols to promote hygiene and social distancing, the mall said in a statement.

New measures include hand-sanitizing stations, touch-free interactions and "frequent and intense cleanings." All retailers will be required to follow the social distancing guidelines set forth in the "Stay Safe MN" order, which includes no more than 50% occupancy in shops.

All restaurants at Ridgedale will continue curbside-only operations for the time being.

“The safety and well-being of our retail partners and shoppers is of the utmost importance,” Ridgedale Center Senior General Manager Joan Suko said in a statement.

Ridgedale Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
