MPD investigates victim with gunshot wound from unknown incident

The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating a victim who showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound on Saturday. 

According to police, at 9:39 p.m., a victim showed up at the Children's Hospital by a private vehicle with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was then transported to Hennepin County Medical Center by ambulance.  

Police said they believe the incident possibly happened in Peavy Park. 

The Minneapolis Park Police and MPD both responded to this call. 

The incident is under investigation. No other additional information is available at this time.
