Motorcyclist who died from crash in Minneapolis identified
The motorcyclist who died after striking a tree has been identified on Saturday as 31-year-old Matias Arkiel Jefferson, from Minneapolis.
According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, Jefferson’s manner of death is a blunt force to the chest that caused injuries from the crash.
According to Minneapolis Police, on Thursday, officers received multiple reports of a crash near 51st Avenue and Humboldt Avenue North at about 2:21 p.m.
Motorcyclist dies after crashing into tree in Minneapolis
Officers and paramedics arrived at the scene and found Jefferson lying on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the preliminary information indicates two motorcyclists were headed north on Humboldt Avenue when one of them left the road and struck a tree, police said. Jefferson was thrown from the motorcycle and died from injuries suffered.
The other motorcyclist stopped and provided information to officers.
