UPDATE: Motorcyclist killed in crash with semi in Chaska identified

UPDATE: The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has identified the man killed in a crash with a semi in Chaska on Thursday.

Mark Richard Hagen, 52-years-old, died of multiple blunt force injuries. He was riding a motorcycle during the time of the crash.


One person died after a crash involving a motorcycle and semi-truck in Chaska on Thursday.

According to Chaska Police, the crash happened on Engler Boulevard near Clover Ridge Drive at around 9 a.m.

Police say emergency aid was provided to the motorcyclist, who was then taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

The westbound lane of Engler Boulevard near the Highway 212 on-ramp was still closed as of 12:30 p.m. Thursday, as was the portion of Clover Ridge Drive between Engler Boulevard and Kerber Pass. They have since reopened.

The Minnesota State Patrol is helping with the investigation.

No other details were immediately available.
