Motorcyclist airlifted after crash
A 54-year-old Arizona man was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital on Friday afternoon following a motorcycle crash.
At 3:14 p.m. sheriff’s deputies responded to a motorcycle crash in Walcott Township.
The Rice County Sheriff’s Office released limited details about the single-vehicle crash but included that alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
Initial information states that the motorcycle rider drove onto the shoulder and then over-corrected causing a loss of control.
Faribault Fire and Rescue and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted Rice County and the rider was taken to North Memorial Hospital via helicopter.
The rider was not wearing a helmet when they crashed.
The incident is under investigation by the Rice County Sheriff’s Office.
