Motorcycle crash near Hager City leaves one dead

A crash between a car and a motorcycle early Tuesday afternoon left one man dead, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.

The rider of the motorcycle, 73-year-old John Marshall, from Red Wing, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say the crash was reported around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday and happened near the intersection of Highway 63 and County Road VV just north of Hager City, Wisconsin.

The Sheriff’s Office said that the car driven by an 82-year-old man from Elmwood, Wisconsin was crossing Highway 63 eastbound from County Road VV onto 150th Avenue. The Sheriff’s Office said the driver failed to yield the right of way leading up to the crash.

That driver was reportedly uninjured.
