Minnetonka City Council votes to suspend mask mandate

The City of Minnetonka announced that its city council voted to suspend enforcement of the emergency face covering ordinance put into place in January.

This immediately lifts the citywide mask mandate, according to a news release sent by the city.

The vote happened during a special virtual meeting on Thursday, Feb. 17.

The news release cites data from the Centers for Disease Control that shows an ongoing decline of COVID-19 infections.

The council also reportedly directed the city manager to provide updates to the Minnetonka’s community infection rates.
