Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association asks Gov. Walz to refrain from making statements on pending litigation against officers
The Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association (MPPOA) sent a letter on Friday to Governor Tim Walz asking him to refrain from making statements on the pending litigation, particularly involving police officers.
According to the letter, MPPOA asks Walz to refrain from making statements specific to pending litigation involving officers until the facts of the investigation are known and the trial is complete.

The association mentions multiple reasoning as to why they want Walz to refrain from his comments as he made a tweet on Thursday mentioning the judge upholding the murder charges against former officer Derek Chauvin and other officers.
