At Cedar Creek Golf Course in Albertville, tee time requests for this week flooded in over the past several days.
"People are definitely very excited to get back out here," Cedar Creek golf professional Brock Green said. "On Friday, there’s over 160 people on the tee sheet, so people love golf in Minnesota."
After several inches of snow fell, crews had to pick off some leaves and get the golf carts back out of hibernation for the winter.
Cedar Creek is one of about 70 golf courses in Minnesota and western Wisconsin opening back up this week. Golfers are thrilled about the opportunity to hit the links again.
"We don’t get this type of weather around here this late in the year, as you know, so it’s nice to take advantage of it," golfer Todd Faulds said.

So far, the phone has been ringing off the hook from those wanting to hit the course.
"I really like fall golf because it doesn’t get too hot, everything is sticky, you’re club falling out of your hands and stuff," said Jon Wick, a member at Cedar Creek.
"It’s exciting, not a bad Monday," Nick Zeman, a golfer, added. "From shoveling a few weeks ago and now being able to get out at Cedar Creek in Albertville and play a round of golf, I couldn’t be happier."
Golf courses generally close around 5 p.m. due to the time change and earlier sunset.
