Minnesota DNR warns anglers of fake social media post claiming fishing season is closed

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is warning anglers about a fake social media post claiming that fishing season in the state is closed.

The post has a DNR letterhead and claims all bodies of water for fishing are closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The DNR said Thursday the season remains open and anglers are urged not to share the post.
