Minneapolis stabbing victim hospitalized with potentially life-threatening wound

A man was taken to a hospital Friday afternoon following a reported stabbing in Minneapolis.
According to Minneapolis police, officers found a 56-year-old man suffering from an apparent stab wound near North Eighth Street and Hennepin Avenue at around 2:45 p.m.
Early information suggests the man had gotten into an altercation with another man in the 1300 block of Linden Avenue when the situation escalated into a stabbing. The victim then walked to where officers found him, police said.
Officers provided aid until the victim was taken to a hospital with a potentially life-threatening injury.
58-year-old Richard Malone of Minneapolis has been arrested and charged with assault in relation to the incident.
The case is under investigation.
