Missing persons alert canceled after 2 Minneapolis children found safe, mother arrested

UPDATE 11/23/22 – Authorities canceled an endangered missing persons alert overnight for two children who had allegedly been abducted Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota BCA, a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old child were found safe. Their mother, identified as an 18-year-old, is also in custody, according to the BCA.
No other details were immediately provided regarding where or what time they were found. However, the BCA canceled the alert just after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

INITIAL REPORT 11/22/22 – Minneapolis police say they’re looking for a mother who allegedly abducted her two young children Tuesday afternoon.
The woman, identified as an 18-year-old, was on a court-ordered supervised visit with her children — a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old — when she left the visit with the kids in tow, police said.
They were last seen leaving a light rail train at the Cedar-Riverside station around 3 p.m.
Police say the mother was wearing a purple zip-up hoodie with light pants and light boots and was pushing a black and gray stroller. The three-year-old was in a pink or purple puffy coat with black leggings and black and white Nike shoes. The one-year-old was in the stroller wearing a black coat, black shirt, gray sweatpants and black and white Vans shoes.
Anyone who sees them or has information about their whereabouts is asked to call 911.
