Minneapolis police: 17-year-old shot as a result of ‘negligent discharge’

Minneapolis police say they believe a 17-year-old girl was shot late Monday due to a negligent discharge.

According to police, officers were called to the 1000 block of 14th Avenue south for a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found the 17-year-old inside a residence, and provided medical aid.

The girl was taken to HCMC for her injuries, which are being described as non-life-threatening.

Currently, police are still working to find out who was involved and what led up to the shooting.

No one has been arrested as of this publishing.
