Minneapolis man arrested had 900 fentanyl-laced pills, authorities say

A Minneapolis man who was arrested near Paynesville Thursday had 900 fentanyl-laced pills in his possession, authorities say.

The CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force says it helped Eden Valley police and Meeker County deputies arrest the man, who was stopped just after midnight Thursday in Eden Valley.

The 42-year-old man had 900 fake oxycodone pills that tested positive for fentanyl, half a pound of marijuana wax and a loaded handgun in his vehicle, the task force said.

He’s currently being held at Meeker County Jail but hasn’t yet been formally charged.
