Minneapolis man airlifted to hospital after paragliding accident

A Minneapolis man was seriously injured Wednesday in a paragliding accident.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office says it was called to the area of 225th Avenue Southeast and 180th Street in East Lake Lillian Township at around 12:20 p.m.

There, authorities learned that a 59-year-old Minneapolis man was paragliding and had just started his ascent when it was impacted by wind and crashed into the ground.

The man was seriously injured and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.
