Minneapolis Fire investigating overnight house blaze

The Minneapolis Fire Department is investigating after an overnight house fire in the Shingle Creek neighborhood.
At about 1 a.m., crews responded to a fire near Vincent Avenue North and 52nd Avenue North. The fire caused damage to the basement and first floor of the home, according to officials. Our 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS photographer was on scene while fire fighters battled the flames.

Crews were able to extinguish the bulk of the fire by 1:31 a.m. and it was fully out by 1:51 a.m.
There were no injuries reported. The fire’s cause is under investigation.
