Minneapolis budget committee to review Frey’s proposal Monday
Monday, members of a Minneapolis City Council committee will get its first look at Mayor Jacob Frey’s budget proposal.
The $3.3 billion proposal goes before the budget committee Monday at 1:30 p.m.
City officials say the two-year plan focuses on the continued recovery from financial hardships related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the unrest following the murder of George Floyd.
Public hearings are scheduled to begin later this month.
The city council has until the end of the year to agree on a final budget.
