Metro Transit works on adding new plastic seats to light rail trains

In an effort to help with maintenance and cleaning, Metro Transit is working to install plastic seats on its light rail trains.

The effort will include replacing all cloth seats with plastic seats on each of its 91 light rail vehicles by the spring of 2021.

Metro Transit stated it continues cleaning and sanitizing its trains daily, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
