Meeker County toddler recovering from serious injuries after falling off running lawnmower

Authorities say a toddler is recovering from injuries after she fell off a running lawnmower and was cut.

According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 14600 block of 615th Avenue in rural Hutchinson shortly after 10:30 a.m. Thursday after a woman reported her daughter fell of the mower and had received serious cuts to her forearm and hand while the woman was mowing.

The girl was taken to Hutchinson Health Hospital before being flown to North Memorial Health Hospital.

Authorities say though the girl has injuries not considered to be life-threatening, they are serious.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the incident.
