MDH: Regulatory action taken against 3 restaurants for violating COVID-19 restrictions
The Minnesota Department of Health says it has taken regulatory action against three restaurants that have violated COVID-19 restrictions.
The locations include Joe’s Diner in East Grand Forks, King Sparrow in Milaca and Big Orv’s in Adrian.
According to MDH, all three restaurants were found to be serving on-site food and beverage. Cease-and-desist orders and license suspension notices were served to all three.

In November, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz issued an executive order prohibiting bars and restaurants from offering on-premises dining.
MDH Assistant Commissioner Dan Huff said enforcement actions are considered a last resort.
"The vast majority of businesses are doing their best to help slow down the spread of COVID-19, and we owe it to them to have a consistent and fair enforcement approach," Huff said.
