Mayo Clinic School of Medicine erroneously sends 364 acceptance letters

The Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine announced that they erroneously sent 364 letters of acceptance into the school.

According to a statement from Mayo, the emails were sent to the applicants on Thursday. Mayo said they quickly realized the error and withdrew the acceptance letters by email.

Mayo also said all of the affected applicants were contacted by phone.

The statement went on to say "We deeply regret having caused disappointment and stress to these applicants, and we are continuing to investigate the issue."

According to U.S. News & World Report, MCASM is one of the most selective medical schools in the country, with an acceptance rate of only 2.1%
