Man wanted for burglary in Mounds View

Police in Mounds View are searching for a man who forced his way into a home, demanded money and then fled on Thursday morning.

According to the Mounds View Police Department, officers were sent to the 8000 block of Eastwood Road at 10:37 a.m. after a caller reported a person knocked on the door, forced his way inside, threw the caller to the ground and demanded money before running away.

After getting a description of the suspect, officers noticed it was very similar to an incident that happened in the area a day earlier.

The Minnesota State Patrol, Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office helped search for the suspect but authorities believe he possibly received a ride away from the area.

Mounds View Police identified the suspect as 25-year-old Wayne Ninzel Grear and say he’s wanted for first-degree burglary/simple robbery.
