Man transported to hospital after house fire in Minneapolis

A man was transported to the hospital after a house fire in Minneapolis Wednesday night.

According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, at 11:54 p.m., a crew responded to a fire in a residential home located on the 3400 block of Columbus Avenue.

Once the fire crew arrived at the scene, they saw the fire coming from a second-floor window. The crew went inside and located a man inside the house. They brought the man outside.

The fire crew began CPR on the man. Paramedics then transported him to an area hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
