Man shot while driving Saturday in Minneapolis’ Camden community

A man was taken to the hospital after he was shot early Saturday morning near the edge of Minneapolis’ Hawthorne and McKinley neighborhoods, according to the Minneapolis Police Department.

Early police information indicates a man in his 30s was driving just before 5 a.m. in the area of Lowry Avenue North and North Third Street when he heard a gunshot and felt pain.

The man told police he did not see who may have fired the shot.

Responders took the man to North Memorial Medical Center for injuries that were not life-threatening.

At this time, police are investigating the shooting and have not released any more information.
