Man shot in Alexandria, police investigating

Police are investigating after a man was shot in Alexandria on Friday.

According to the Alexandria Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired on the 1600 block of Seventh Avenue. When they arrived, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The man was transported to the hospital for treatment.

No suspects or suspect vehicles are known at this time.
