Charges: Non-custodial mother, accomplice broke into Minneapolis home, forcefully took 5-year-old girl

Minneapolis police responded to a 911 call on Oct. 23 in which a man reported he was at home with his daughter when her mother and another man forced their way in and took the girl. The girl's father had previously been awarded sole custody of the girl, according to a criminal complaint.

Police asked for the public's help finding the girl, and officers later found her with Brann and her mother, Serenity Joy Jones.

Jones's case is still progressing through the court's system.
