Man sentenced to probation after kidnapping, standoff last year in Inver Grove Heights

One of three men arrested after a kidnapping and short standoff in Inver Grove Heights last year was sentenced on Monday.

Court records show 25-year-old Abdifatah Abdi was sentenced to 10 days in jail, which he’s already served, and one year of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct.

One of the other two men arrested in the incident, Ilmi Yusuf, was sentenced to three years of probation shortly after the incident took place.
