Man killed in Cedar-Riverside shooting early Friday morning identified
A man killed in a shooting that happened in the Minneapolis Cedar-Riverside neighborhood early Friday morning has been identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
Cortez Maurice Crumble, a 34-year-old man from Brooklyn Park, died from a gunshot wound to the torso, according to the medical examiner’s report.

Officers were called to the 1400 block of Washington Avenue South at about 1 a.m. Friday for a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, a man in his 30s had life-threatening wounds. Despite being hospitalized at Hennepin Healthcare, he died.
The shooting remains under investigation.
