Man injured in lawnmower accident in Stearns County
A man was taken to a hospital Friday after a lawnmower accident in Stearns County.
According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 40000 block of Apple Lane in Sauk Centre Township at about 12:35 p.m.
The sheriff’s office said 68-year-old David Anderson was mowing his lawn with a riding lawnmower when he made a right turn to go around a culvert. The right front wheel of the lawnmower sank into soft ground and leaned, causing Anderson to fall from the seat.
The lawnmower shut off but rolled to the right and pinned Anderson’s legs underneath.
A neighbor drove by, saw Anderson and stopped to help. An ambulance then transported Anderson to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
