Man injured after being hit by vehicle in Brooklyn Park

Police say a man is recovering from injuries after he was hit by a vehicle late Thursday night in Brooklyn Park.
Officers were called to the intersection of Brooklyn Boulevard and Welcome Avenue North at about 10:15 p.m. for a report of a car versus pedestrian crash.
When they arrived, they found a man had been hit by a vehicle, adding the man was alert and breathing.
The man was then taken to an area hospital.
The driver, who officers said stopped at the scene, is said to be cooperating with police.
