Man injured after black bear hits motorcycle

A 67-year-old man from Motley is being treated for his injuries after a black bear hit his motorcycle in rural Pillager.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a crash on County Road 34 on Monday. When they arrived, they learned that a black bear had come out of the ditch and hit the man as he was riding his motorcycle.

The man was treated at the scene and then taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The bear was killed in the crash.
