Man in hospital after being shot multiple times in Minneapolis

A man in his 20s is in the hospital after being shot multiple times in south Minneapolis. The man’s injuries are “potentially life-threatening” according to police.

Officers say they were called to the shooting in the 5700 Block of 24th Avenue just before 8 p.m. and gave the victim first-aid until EMS arrived. He was then taken to Hennepin Healthcare (HCMC). 

Police say that the man was shot during “an attempt to exchange items.”

Forensic scientists from the department collected evidence from the scene.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
